Master of variety
The Distagon T* 1.4/35 ZM will quickly grow on you as a lover of classic rangefinder photography. It offers absolutely uncompromising imaging performance, coupled with high speed and a universal angle of view.
In dim light or in sparsely lit rooms, this top lens shows its outstanding performance even at a fully open aperture of f/1.4. And thanks to the superbly flattened image field, it delivers uniform sharpness and contrast right into the corners of the image. Last but not least, the precise manual focus allows you to set the subject accents yourself - giving your pictures your own signature.

Enhance your rangefinder camera with the compact Distagon T* 1.4/35 ZM - and capture life's most beautiful moments in a special way.
Powerful Lens
Impressive shots in low light start with a high-aperture Lens for your system or SLR camera. This is because a high-performance lens captures as much light as possible. And a lens with a large maximum aperture offers the best photographic results in difficult lighting conditions.
Precise, smooth focusing
Manual adjustment of the Lens is tantamount to controlling the image results "from your fingertips". An ergonomic design is everything. Thanks to its ease of use and ergonomic finger rest, the focusing ring on ZEISS lenses is ideal for fast, precise lens adjustment. Changes are immediately visible in the viewfinder. The high-quality focusing mechanism moves smoothly and without play, so that intuitive interaction with the image plane is also supported.
Robust design
The mount and control elements of the ZM Lens are made of metal and designed for decades of intensive use. The high-quality craftsmanship of the full metal mounts, the non-slip metal focus and aperture ring and the robust front bayonet and filter thread ensure a fantastic photographic experience.
Excellent image quality
ZEISS T* Lens offer the highest possible level of performance, reliability and, of course, image quality. In other words, they are superior in every respect. For example, extremely advanced stray light reduction is available for razor-sharp and brilliant images. And the virtually non-existent geometric distortion ensures precisely accurate reproduction of shapes - which is particularly useful in product and architectural photography.
ZEISS T* anti-reflective coating
All lens surfaces of ZEISS lenses are equipped with the T* anti-reflective coating and an optical design that produces brilliant images even in unfavorable lighting conditions. To anti-reflect the lens surfaces, we apply very thin transparent layers to their surfaces. For this purpose, special substances are vaporized one by one in a high vacuum with very high energy, which are then deposited on the glass surface as layers with precisely controlled thicknesses and produce the desired reflection reduction. The first coatings were used by ZEISS back in the 1930s.
