Sony A9 event with live shootings
On this evening, the participants exclusively experienced the full power of the full-frame highlight Sony Alpha 9. Steffen B?ttcher demonstrated his photography workflow with a bridal couple during a live shoot.
The participants had more than 15 Sony Alpha A9s with a variety of lenses at their disposal, so that everyone had the opportunity to test the A9 extensively. Steffen demonstrated how to proceed with a couple shoot with the model couple. Thanks to the new eye autofocus, he is able to concentrate even more on the bride and groom than before. With just one button on the lens, the system camera continuously adjusts the focus. The best thing about it: four out of five pictures are sharp! Regardless of whether he shoots through the viewfinder or just from the hip, with the original lens or with the Metabones adapter. This gives him enormous freedom, which allows him to focus much more intensively on the person in front of the camera than before, says Steffen. The second test set-up demonstrated how reliably the eye autofocus works. To confuse the AF, sheets of fabric were thrown in front of the model during the bokeh shoot. The perfect opportunity for all participants to try it out for themselves!
The third photo motif on this evening was a still life setup with decoration and jewelry, as is relevant for wedding reportages, for example. The sharpness and color rendition of the Alpha 9 could be ideally tested with this setup. We also got to know the subtleties of the camera and its predestined areas of application at the Sony VIP evening.
