The new SIGMA 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS | Sports is a powerful ultra-telephoto zoom and the first lens in the Sports lineup designed specifically for mirrorless systems. This handy zoom, packed with practical features, revolutionizes the way mirrorless camera users in wildlife, sports and other fields capture subjects whose speed challenges the photographer.

The 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS | Sports is the first lens in the SIGMA Sports lineup designed from the ground up for full-frame mirrorless cameras. It offers outstanding imaging performance, functionality and build quality, as required for demanding photography with extreme telephoto focal lengths.

The imaging quality is outstanding and the optical components ensure extremely sharp images even with the highest resolution sensors. The Lens exhibits attractive bokeh throughout the focal length range and aberrations are effectively corrected. It can be used with SIGMA's 1.4-× and 2× teleconverters for the LMount, with autofocus usable up to 1200 mm.

Autofocus is fast and reliable, thanks to a focusing unit with a high-precision magnetic sensor, and an optical image stabilizer extends the range of shake-free shutter speeds by about 4 EV*. The Lens is thus up to the most demanding photographic tasks. Its dual-action zoom allows for focal length adjustment as fast as it is precise by pulling or turning the zoom ring, its weather-sealed construction makes it dustproof and splashproof, and freely assignable buttons allow photographers and filmmakers to customize it to their needs.

Bring in distant subjects the way you've always wanted to with the 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS | Sports, the first lens in the Sports line for mirrorless systems.
* Based on CIPA guidelines (Tested at 600mm with a 35mm full-frame image sensor)

1. Uncompromisingly high image quality over the entire zoom range
The SIGMA 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS | Sports demonstrates its outstanding optical performance over the entire zoom range and at all apertures, guaranteeing professional results every time.

Its optical construction of 25 elements in 15 groups includes a number of lenses made of special, high-performance types of glass that ensure effective correction of all aberrations. This contributes to high resolution and clear detail - not only at the long end of the zoom range, i.e. at 600 mm, where the optical performance of an ultra-telephoto zoom is most critical, but uncompromisingly across all focal lengths.

During the development of the Lens, attention was also paid to imaging characteristics in the out-of-focus range. With a long focal length, the SIGMA 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS | Sports raises perspective and exposes sharply focused subjects against a blurred background with a pleasing bokeh.

Thanks to improvements in optical and mechanical design and extensive testing based on a simulation model, this lens is largely free of internal reflections that could manifest themselves in ghosting and lens flare. As a result, it produces sharp, high-contrast images even in backlit situations.

At the shortest focal length of 150 mm, the closest focusing distance is just 58 cm and the maximum magnification reaches 1:2.9. Two specially adapted teleconverters are available for the Lens's L-mount version, extending the focal length up to 1200 mm while retaining usable autofocus. This makes the new ultra-telephoto zoom suitable for a wide range of tasks and gives you all the freedom you need to shape your photos.

2. Fast and precise autofocus, image stabilization and customizable functions
The 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS | Sports brings with it the professional features of the SIGMA Sports range, designed to capture fast movements.

Driven by a stepper motor, the quiet autofocus follows even the fastest subjects and keeps them securely in focus. A high-precision magnetic sensor allows reliable positioning of the focusing unit, as required for fast and precise autofocus. This is all the more remarkable as this lens group has to move over a long distance in an ultra-telephoto zoom.

The optical image stabilizer (OS) extends the range of shake-free shutter speeds by about 4 EV*, allowing up to 16 times slower handheld shutter speeds. In addition to OS mode 1 to compensate for all movement, there is mode 2, which allows the camera to deliberately pull along with the subjects and does not correct movement in this direction.

Autofocus can be limited to one of three distance ranges, which speeds up focusing and prevents misfocusing. With the SIGMA USB DOCK (only for L-mount), you can also define an individual focus limitation.

Three freely assignable AFL buttons can be assigned to different camera functions, whereby the selection depends on the camera model. This gives you quick access to the functions that are most important for your individual way of working, without having to take your hand off the lens.

With its fast and precise autofocus, an image stabilizer for four aperture stops* and a wide range of individual adjustment options, the SIGMA 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS | Sports gives you unlimited freedom to realize your creative ideas.
* Based on CIPA guidelines (Tested at 600mm with a 35mm full-frame image sensor)

3.Outstanding build quality optimized for ultra-telephoto photography
The 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS | Sports combines the standard of workmanship typical of the SIGMA Sports range with ease of use in all the applications of an ultra-telephoto zoom.

A weather-sealed design with seals at critical points prevents water or dust from entering. The front lens is additionally protected with a water- and grease-repellent coating. You can therefore use the Lens without hesitation even in harsh environmental conditions.

By pushing and pulling the easy-to-grip dual-action zoom ring, you can quickly move through the entire focal length range and thus react quickly to unexpected situations; by turning it, you can sensitively determine the precise image section. A torque switch lets you adjust the resistance of the zoom ring as desired, and you can lock the zoom at the wide-angle end to prevent the weight of the lens barrel from pulling it out on its own.

The base of the rotating tripod clamp is Arca-Swiss compatible, but can be exchanged for an optional base that supports other quick-release systems.

The components of the lens barrel are made partly of aluminum and partly of TSC (Thermally Stable Composite), depending on the material properties required in each case. TSC is a polycarbonate that expands similarly to aluminum as temperatures rise, so this combination of materials provides consistent performance over a wide temperature range. Optimizing the design for short flange focal length mirrorless systems has allowed the Lens to be built to be particularly robust, as is characteristic of the Sports range, while remaining lightweight and compact. Compared to the SIGMA 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM | Sports, a Sports series zoom designed for SLR cameras, the new lens is 780g lighter and 26.6mm* shorter.

Hands on the new Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 DG DN OS S

Sigma's 70-200 f/2.8 is a strong competitor to lenses from Sony and Panasonic. The attractive price of €1,699 RRP makes the Sigma a worthwhile alternative, especially in comparison to the 70-200 2.8 from Panasonic and Sony's new G-Master, which is significantly more expensive.
