  • Extreme macro lens
  • suitable for full frame cameras
  • specially developed for extreme macro photography
  • highest sharpness with lowest chromatic aberration
  • Wide angle construction with extended shooting distance
  • compact construction

The LAOWA 25mm f/2.8 2.5-5X Ultra Macro Lens enables extreme macro photography of the highest quality with all full-frame cameras at an affordable price. It features a thin barrel, is lightweight and has an extended working distance. The magnification ratio ranges from 2.5:1 to 5:1, allowing the macro photographer to capture full-frame images of objects of varying size.

The construction, consisting of 8 elements in 6 groups and one element with low dispersion, guarantees outstanding sharpness at the various magnifications and reduces chromatic aberration to an absolute minimum to avoid color fringing. The wide-angle design results in a different perspective than telephoto focal lengths, as a larger section of the background can be seen. The Lens is specially designed for macro photography and can only be focused in this range. Thanks to the extended shooting distance (40mm at 5x magnification), the subject can be reasonably illuminated.

Focusing is manual, as is the aperture setting. Thanks to the low weight of less than 450 grams and the small tube diameter, the Lens is suitable for outdoor use as well as in the studio or laboratory. A tripod clamp is optionally available. This allows the Lens to be attached directly to the tripod head. This offers the photographer better creative possibilities from different angles of view.
