  • UV filter from the UX series: especially for beginners
  • Anti-reflective coating and water-repellent
  • Can be used as a protective filter

The UX II UV filter with water-repellent coating is a new development of the HMC UV(C) filter, which is now integrated into the new standard class of the UX II series together with the UX II CIR-PL filter. The UX II UV filter is a completely redesigned product aimed at entry-level users, offering high quality standards with basic and contemporary features.

"UX" in the name of the series stands for "User eXperience" to refer to the experience the user can have by using these filters and the benefits they bring. With the name UX, we want to offer users a better personalized experience in all activities related to photography.

Although UV rays are invisible to the naked eye, they can affect the image when shooting in places such as the sea or mountains, resulting in blurred contours or faded and whitish images.

UV filters can suppress the UV spectrum contained in daylight, which mainly causes bad effects on images. This filter can be used with both film and digital cameras for more vivid images. In addition, this filter serves as a daily lens protector when left in place all the time.

Features:
Anti-reflective coating:
The anti-reflective coating prevents unwanted reflections and increases light transmission.

Water-repellent coating:
A water-repellent coating has been added to the anti-reflective coating. This coating repels water droplets and makes it easier to clean dirt or fingerprints from the filter surface.

Slim frame
The slim frame ensures that no vignetting occurs, even with wide-angle lenses.
